I saved a lot of these cards for last to give me time to research every last bit of them, but as you might be able to tell from these question marks…didn’t go well. It absolutely picks apart combo decks with the right deckbuilding and generally just isn’t healthy for a meta. As a mechanic it tends to be pretty narrow and swingy, if we do see it return though I doubt Bitter Ordeal will be among those cards. Gravestorm is something that I’d love to see return…but I don’t think that Wizards agrees with that statement. I was gonna say maybe Kamigawa because it’s an Ogre and being a “Henchfiend” to me could mean that it worshiped a demon, probably one named Ukor, but now that Kamigawa is a neon cityscape…I doubt this guy would still be kicking around. Same as above, no flavor text and no art hints. It’s a good card, and I’d welcome seeing again, but magic seems to be moving away from Doomblade and cards that say stuff like “Nongreen.” Still, I think we could see Death Rattle again sometime. With no flavor text on any printing, and since most planes have caves, there’s not much to go on here. If it weren’t for the Echo ability this would be higher, it’s a good card but Echo is never coming back. There’s no real evidence here so I don’t feel good trying to place it. Originally I was gonna say either Dominaria or Ravnica since the flavor text refers to Skyknights which we’ve only ever seen on those two planes, but at the end of the day that’s barely anything. Not a high pick, but I’d like to see this again in a new Morph set. It’s got solid stats and the Morph ability means it can synergize if it were put in a Morph limited format. Whip-Spine Drake is just a pretty decent card. In both printings the flavor text refers to an “Onean Scout.” Oneah is a country on Dominaria and the residents are referred to as Onean, thus placing Mass of Ghouls on Dominaria. Mass of Ghouls has been reprinted twice.for some reason, once in Tenth Edition and once in Time Spiral Remastered. It’s a 5 mana 5/3…I mean it’s not bad but why would they reprint it? Unless Heliod transitions or gets deposed, I think we’ll just have to wait and see where our horse friend here truly hails from. It’s not Theros, we know that by the mention of the “Sun Goddess”. It’s safe to reprint, but the fact that it’s an Enchantment Creature means the set will have to call for that specifically. As of now, it’s just a 3/3 with flying for five that’s actually easier to kill. It’s a pretty basic card, but this came out pre-Theros so Enchantment Creature was a big deal. Remember: We're discussing the likelihood that these cards might see print in a Planar Set (A set with a fixed location, not a Masters set) and what planes they might be from! I may have missed Time Spiral Remastered but I definitely keep my promises! So let’s get into it!
