*The way Sticky Bomb and ATG work in this game is swapped compared to RoR2, Stickys increase in damage with each stack while ATGs increase in proc chance, this effectively means Sticky Bombs (and Mortars) will be as powerful as a RoR2 ATG and twice as easy to find. *Teleporter events no longer require you to kill all enemies to progress. (most stages in RoR1 only have 3 or less) *New engine for improved stability, improved multiplayer, and easier post launch content additions. *Several new "remixed" tracks have been made as colaborative efforts with other musicians, these will NOT replace the original tracks and their full purpose (other than being used in trailers) is unknown. *Several new songs designed to fit in the RoR1 style, replaces instances where RoR1 re-used the same songs in multiple biomes. *Category chests make a return from RoR2. *Temporary item vendors can be found which grant the player several stacks of an item that disappear from your inventory after a while. *Temporary items can now be gained through a variety of means as a new mechanic. *Providence Trials mode provides a variety of mini games that can be beaten to unlock Items/Abilities, these challenges will have a "High Score" style system. *Most characters can now move slowly while shooting, Huntress is still the only one who can move at full speed. *Small humanoid enemies such as claymen and lemurians can now climb ropes/vines/ladders *Equipment now drop from their own unique containers instead of randomly showing up in normal chests. *Fire Shield now knocks back enemies on top of dealing damage, distance and damage scales with stacks. *Boxing Glove now also deals bonus damage on top of knocking enemies back. *Ukulele now chains between enemies similar to RoR2. *At least 9 new items and 6 items returning from RoR2/SotV *New stone golem drone that requires health to buy instead of money. *Miner reworked to have a heat meter, Loader can now grapple diagonally upward,Engineer's turrets now inherit items. (only seen for a few frames in a video, unsure of purpose) *Interactable featuring an equipment item in a jar, seemingly uses that equipment at the cost of gold. *2 brand new characters and 1 returning character from RoR2( Artificer, Drifter, and a 3rd mystery character) these will be the only new characters available at launch. *Huntress is now unlocked from the start of the game. *Pallet swaps and alternate abilities for all characters *Many items now use TOTAL damage instead of BASE damage as they do in RoR2 (EDIT: this post was made well before the release of RoRR and is out of date, for more information on Risk of Rain Returns It would be best to use the newly formed wiki)
